2003 was a busy year for Salvador, releasing two full albums and a live concert DVD. After taking home the Dove Award for "Spanish Language Album Of The Year" for Con Poder in 2004, the group put its usual relentless touring schedule on hold to create their next English language studio records. The result, So Natural, is clearly this Austin, Texas band's most compelling work to date - a perfect bridge between the Latin-rock sound for which Salvador has become known, and a more soulful modern-rock vibe that's a perfect fit for Christian radio. Front man Nic Gonzales has never sounded better - having co-written every song on the album and producing with frequent collaborator Chris Rodriguez. Songs like "This Is My Life" reflect a spiritual devotion not evident on much of the Contempoary Christian radio charts; while the hopeful tone and flourishes of brass on "Can You Feel (The Supernatural)" evoke a catchy, warm feel that can't help but bounce around in your head for days.Quite simply, So Natural is the Salvador album we've all been waiting for.
