With musical influences by well-established acts like Project 86 and Linkin Park, 38th Parallel adds a more hard-edged sound to the progressive music appealing to fans of the genre. From an independently-produced three-song EP, the band's first single "3 Times Denied" garnered the #3 position behind P.O.D. and Lifehouse on the local Christian rock station's Top 20 Countdown, while another of the three songs later reached #6. "The band's mission is to represent Christianity to the world as a practical and relevant view of reality...we want to reflect the beauty, power, and love of God behind our music and in our lives," says the band collectivelly.
