How amazing would it be for our minds and hearts to be swept away by the One who invented them? What would it be like if our most anxious thoughts were had over His presence? What if more than ambition, identity, or iniquity, the person of Jesus was our daily preference our pleasure? What if He really was our hunger? our thirst? What would happen if we put down our "broken cisterns that can hold no water, and drank from something better and were satisfied by Him, the One true fountain of Living Water" (Jer. 2:13). "Oh, what joy would be found, even the fullness of it!" (Ps. 16:11) Maybe even enough joy to cause us to forsake all that we hold dear to indulge in what in what we had tasted? What would happen? We long for our created minds to be carried away by their Creator, for our time to be swept away by Him. For surely He is better than all!
